Job Position – Senior Systems Administrator
Company Name – Derby Group
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration, enterprise storage, virtualization, cloud technologies, backup solutions, and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and support Linux server environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), including security, patching, and performance optimization.
– Administer Microsoft Azure intrastructure and Kubernetes
(AKS) environments.
– Manage VMware Sphere/ESXi virtualization plattorms and enterprise storage solutions.
– Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions (Rubrik/Commvault).
– Develop infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
– Ensure compliance with security standards, PCI-DSS requirements, and operational best practices.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
– 15+ years of experience in Systems Administration and IT Infrastructure.
– Strong hands-on experience with Linux, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), and VMware.
– Expertise in enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
– Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Bash, and Python.
– Banking or financial services industry experience is highly preferred.

– RHCSA / RHCE
– Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, AKS, Open Shift)
– Azure Certifications
– Storage Certifications
– ITIL Foundation or higher
