Urgent Requirement
Job Title: Storage & Backup Administrator
Location: Abu Dhabi (On Remote Basis)
Contract Duration: 1 Year – Extendable
JD:
This role will be a technical position responsible for the installation, maintenance and configuration of the storage and
backup supporting infrastructure of critical applications. This person will function as the technical administrator for the
group and work with various teams, and will need to have ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet
project deadlines.
Responsibility
• Strong experience with Storage Systems like VMAX and VPLEX
• Strong experience with Replication technology like SRDF
• Strong experience with Veritas NetBackup tools to backup Servers, Oracle DBs and VMware
VMs
Strong experience with Physical and Virtual Tape Systems
Experience IBM and HP Storage Systems
Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of various storage systems
Experience with capacity planning and storage allocation forecasting
Experience with SAN switches
Strong Shell scripting (bash/ksh, PERL, Python)
Understanding of AIX and Linux Operating Systems
Experience with monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol, Tivoli Monitoring
Working with an enterprise wide, large scale matrix environment
Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups
Excellent communication skills ( oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required
