Job Position – Veterinarian

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated veterinary professional to work in a unique zoological environment, caring for a diverse collection of aquatic and terrestrial species.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee animal health, veterinary care, and welfare across the facility.
– Manage preventive medicine programs, diagnostics, treatments, and emergency veterinary procedures.
– Monitor animal health, quarantine procedures, disease prevention, and biosecurity.
– Work closely with the Zoological and Life Support Systems teams to maintain high standards of animal care.
– Manage veterinary medications, medical equipment, supplies, and procurement.
– Maintain accurate veterinary records and oversee compliance with relevant government regulations and animal welfare standards.
– Coordinate with external laboratories, veterinary specialists, and suppliers.
Requirements:
– Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution.
– Relevant professional experience in zoos, aquariums, wildlife, exotic animal medicine, or aquatic animal medicine.
– Strong clinical, diagnostic, and preventive medicine skills.
– Experience working with a diverse range of animal species.
– Good understanding of animal welfare, biosecurity, and veterinary regulatory requirements.
– Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding zoological environment.
