Role Summary:

The Technician is responsible to provide AV and multi-media support for staff. The incumbent supports our AV technology infrastructure.

He/she acts as the main provider for AV technical support for events, meetings and activities. He/she operates and maintains our auditorium control rooms.

Operational

  • Ensure all meeting rooms AV technologies are fully operational.
  • Maintain the IT Service Desk by receiving and responding to service desk requests placed via telephone call, email message, or face to face contact.
  • Respond to AV service or incident.
  • Record all service requests and Incidents on Service Desk system.
  • Provide AV support to the staff.
  • Setup and manage all technical aspects of the auditorium (audio, video and lights) and provide overall AV support during events.
  • Provide technical support with post-production editing of audio / video programmes.
  • Maintain the campus plasma screens and keep them operational at all times.
  • Oversee and maintain a stock inventory of audio-visual equipment, consumables and spare parts.
  • Take film, digital photography, and TV programmes recording.
  • Assist with the preparation, production and duplication of multi-media materials.
  • Assist in digitizing different conversion formats for the audio/video streams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information System.
  • Full English proficiency is required.
  • 0-2 Years work related experience.
  • Advanced computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office, ERP.
