Hiring for Permits Officer for one of clients a large Facilities Management Company in Abu Dhabi.

Position: Permits Officer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.
Education: Degree Level (minimum) Relevant HSE & fit-out/ Construction experience, Nebosh certificate preferred

Responsibilities:

1. Administrate and coordinate the activities associated with application, coordination and approval of building control activities, including change permits and configuration management;
2. Develop and implement the required controls and procedures for effective building control, including permit application and assessment, key management and compliance reviews.
3. Continuously strive to improve customer and stakeholder experience in permit application and approval process;
4. Coordinate the review of permit applications for works to be undertaken within the client facilities;
5. Provide a central point for various permit applications associated with general maintenance and change activities, including projects, fit-outs, minor works etc.;
6.Validating permit applications related to hard services maintenance and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate;
7. Work collaboratively with wider Facility Manager and client team members and champion the ethos of best practice value assured;
8. In conjunction with other members of the Asset & Facilities Management team and the HSE section, develop, implement and continually review the governance process for permit applications, including by not limited to the following:

o           Permit to work (PTW);
o           Fire System Isolation;
o           Electrical Isolation;
o           Hot Work Permit;
o           Ceiling and Roof Access;
o           Restricted Area Access;
o           Working at Heights;
o           Penetrations;
o           Access & Key Control

9. Conduct site inspections of works being undertaken to ensure compliance with permit requirements;
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager Building Control.
