About the job
WME is looking to recruit a qualified Civil Engineer talent experienced in design of wet utilities infrastructure such as Potable Water, Fire Hydrant and Irrigation, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Water Drainage. Candidate must have excellent knowledge in hydraulic design principles. Well verse using SewerCAD, StormCAD, WaterCAD, AutoDesk Civil3D and Navis Work. Experience in use of and GIS software will be considered an asset.
1) Qualifications
The candidate should hold as a minimum:
– Bachelors’ degree Civil Engineering/ Hydraulics
– Have 12-15 years relevant experience.
2) Business Development
Build relationships with Client and other design team members.
3) Project Role
Ability to present design and report to Client and authorities
Ability to manage projects
Ability to work independently
Ability to implement Quality Control Systems.
Ability to supervise lower grade Engineers & CAD Technicians.
Provide direct supervision of Junior staff.
4) Company Role
Take part in task groups and represent team that you are working in.
Attend team meetings and provide feedback on department/company development.
Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training.
5) Engineering Function
Proficiency in the hydraulic modeling softwares WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD.
Ability to write and present technical reports.
Ability to prepare design calculations, reports & produce drawings and report to the design manage/project director
Liaise with other members of the design team to ensure that design coordination is in place.
Ability to co-ordinate drawings with all other project disciplines.
Ability to review drawings against a check list to ensure QA/QC
Setting up and maintaining job drawing filing system to office standard.
6) Behavioral
