Hiring for an experienced Civil Engineer to join an electrical infrastructure contracting company in Dubai. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in RTA Right of Way (ROW) approvals, particularly for electrical infrastructure, utility installation and road-related projects.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing authority approval procedures, coordinating with RTA and other government entities, and ensuring smooth execution of infrastructure works in compliance with approved drawings, permits and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Handle and coordinate RTA Right of Way (ROW) permit applications and approval processes for electrical infrastructure projects.
-Manage road-opening, excavation, road-crossing and utility installation permits.
-Prepare, review and submit technical drawings, method statements, NOCs and other documents required for authority approvals.
-Coordinate with RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality and other relevant authorities for project approvals and clearances, as applicable.
-Review electrical utility layouts, cable routing, duct bank drawings, trenching details and road-crossing drawings.
-Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, consultants and site teams to ensure compliance with approved drawings and authority requirements.
-Follow up on technical comments, revisions, permit renewals and approval submissions.
-Monitor civil works related to electrical infrastructure, including excavation, trenching, duct installation, cable trenches, reinstatement and road restoration.
-Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with authority requirements, approved permits, safety standards and project specifications.
-Resolve technical and authority-related issues to avoid delays in project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
7–8 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure or utility contracting.
Hands-on experience in RTA Right of Way (ROW) approvals is mandatory.
Experience working with electrical infrastructure contractors or utility infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of RTA road-opening, excavation and utility installation approval procedures.
Familiarity with electrical infrastructure drawings, cable routes, duct banks and underground utility networks.
Experience coordinating with RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality and other relevant authorities.
Ability to independently manage authority submissions, approvals and follow-ups.
Excellent coordination, communication and documentation skills.
