Job Position – Health & Safety Officer

A leading building materials company is hiring
Location: Dubai
The role is to enforce the company’s Health & Safety policies and regulations and to promote H&S culture.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Ensure a safe workplace and compliance with applicable Local regulations.
• Conduct orientations, training, instruction, safety meetings and distributes H&S Materials .
• Assist H&S managers in developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive management systems for company H&S Policy.
• Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the H&S management system’s effectiveness and provide recommendation for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all Cemex H&S policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate accident investigations, with particular attention given to identify causes and corrective actions
• Provide leadership and guidance to the individual & participate in the plant safety committee meeting.
• Collaborate with the department managers, supervisors, and employees to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
• Serve as in-house faculty for various programs as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Professional Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years’ working experience in HSE & Operations in Ready-mix & Cement Industry
• OSHAD & Nebosh IGC certified.
• ISO 45001:2018 auditor certified.
Job Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:
•?Knowledge of various Hazard and risk identification including assessment studies and methods such as Hazards analysis, Job safety analysis, etc.
• Maintain comprehensive training documentation and records in accordance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct HS audits and inspections to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations
• Knowledge of firefighting and emergency management.
