Job Position – Health & Safety Officer
Company Name – Cemex
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
-Ensure a safe workplace and compliance with applicable Local regulations.
-Conduct orientations, training, instruction, safety meetings and distributes H&S Materials .
-Assist H&S managers in developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive management systems for company H&S Policy.
-Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the H&S management system’s effectiveness and provide recommendation for improvement.
-Ensure compliance with all Cemex H&S policies and regulatory requirements.
-Coordinate accident investigations, with particular attention given to identify causes and corrective actions
-Provide leadership and guidance to the individual & participate in the plant safety committee meeting.
-Collaborate with the department managers, supervisors, and employees to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
-Serve as in-house faculty for various programs as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Professional Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree
-At least 3 years’ working experience in HSE & Operations in Ready-mix & Cement Industry
-OSHAD & Nebosh IGC certified.
-ISO 45001:2018 auditor certified.
Job Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:
-?Knowledge of various Hazard and risk identification including assessment studies and methods such as Hazards analysis, Job safety analysis, etc.
-Maintain comprehensive training documentation and records in accordance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
-Conduct HS audits and inspections to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations
-Knowledge of firefighting and emergency management.
