Job Position – Technical Buyer

Mannai Energy is looking for an experienced Technical Buyer (Procurement Engineer) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. If you are skilled in procurement for MEP & FM services and have a strong technical background, we would love to hear from you!
Position Purpose:
You will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to materials and services for MEP & FM Services, including HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical materials, and associated spare parts.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 2 years in procurement for MEP & FM services
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction materials, technical specifications, and services
Skills: Excellent procurement, communication, and negotiation skills
Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers in the Facility Management and MEP sectors
Key Responsibilities:
– Procure equipment, materials, spares, and systems according to project quality and specifications
– Review offers and material/service requests to ensure alignment with site requirements and contractual scopes
– Procure materials and services in a timely manner and within the approved budget
– Conduct technical reviews of material submittals to ensure compliance with equipment schedules
– Perform market research to identify cost-saving opportunities
– Ensure the timely delivery of materials and systems to support installation works
– Maintain procurement processes that comply with company policies, focusing on time, cost, and quality
– Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
– Ensure the company’s reputation and credibility by handling all dealings fairly and ensuring prompt payments
